Year of the Fairy Tale

Winter will be here before we know it and is surely the season for fairy tales. Don’t forget the availability of these much loved stories which we worked hard to present at different levels of complexity for youngsters of different ages and/or abilities.

(First posted in my other blog at https://credmayne.com/year-of-the-fairy-tale/. The stories were mentioned here in this blog as they appeared and are listed under Traditional tales / fairy tales / tales from other lands in the sidebar under OTHER PAGES.)

There are eight stories in all. I enjoyed the online course I took with Carla Sonheim immensely and then working with a New Zealand teacher/writer Pip Harrison to make teaching resources for primary age children. The simpler stories have been retold by me – Catherine Redmayne – and I did all the illustrations. The versions for older children have been retold by Pip Harrison.

Here are two versions of the stories.

NB If you download the texts from TES, you will find additional resources.

Go to the Traditional tales / fairy tales / tales from other lands to see what is included.
